State Tax Credit

Documents Band Boosters Calendar
Do You Pay State Income Tax?

Then you are eligible to claim a credit for making a contribution to a public school in support of extracurricular activities like band.

What does that mean?
When you contribute money to the MHS Band Program, the Arizona Dept of Revenue will refund you your contribution when you file your state income taxes. (up to the amount of your state tax bill)
Really?
Yes, really.  Unlike a donation, a credit is a dollar for dollar refund of your state tax bill.   Married couples can donate up to $400 and singles up to $200 to the public school of their choice.
Do you itemize on your federal tax return?
Then you can also include this money as part of your charitable donations on your federal tax return.

Simply print out the State Tax Credit form and either mail it in or drop it off at the Agua Fria School District Office.  The form has the District address and phone number on the bottom.

Please share this form with grandparents, co-workers, friends and neighbors.  Every donation to the MHS Band will help defer costs for the Washington D.C. trip and  operating expenses.
