Band Directors

Adam Malik has been the director at Millennium High School since the school opened in 1999. He holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from Arizona State University and a Master of Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University. While at Arizona State University he studied tuba under Sam Pilifian, Deanna Swoboda, and Michael Dunn. His conducting teachers have included Dr. Robert C. Fleming, Dr. Rick Good, and Dr. Richard Strange.

During the years at Millennium High School he has grow the band from 32 members to its current size of 135 members. His bands are consistently receiving excellent and superior ratings. The band has qualified for the state Marching festival 12 out of 13 years. They have also have been involved in the Arizona State Marching Championships for the two of the last 3 years, They placed 8th , 9th, and 11th respectfully in the state.

Stephanie Eshbach
Assistant Director

Stephanie Eshbach has been the assistant director at Millennium High School for the past four years. In addition to her duties with the band, she is an English teacher at the freshman and sophomore levels. She holds a Bachelor degree from California State University, Fullerton and is considered highly-qualified to teach both English and music.

Ms. Eshbach's music background includes two years of French Horn performance at Riverside City College (RCC) in which she studied under Russell Dicey, Paul Klintworth, and Lisa Cherry. While at RCC, she also participated in their world famous marching band program. During college, Ms. Eshbach also had the honor to perform for four seasons with several drum and bugle corps, including The Blue Knights (Denver, CO), and Pacific Crest (Diamond Bar, CA). Previously, Ms. Eshbach wrote drill and taught visual for several bands in Arizona, and she is a past member of the WGAZ board of directors.

Bill Danser
Jazz Band Instructor, Wind Ensemble, Marching Band Staff

Bill Danser has 20 plus years of professional teaching experience. He has been working with Millennium HS for 3 years. Bill earned a BS in Music Ed from University of Illinois (Champaign, IL Campus) and has 2 years of Trumpet performance at the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago. He was Associate Director of Bands at Cedar Rapids Washington HS in Iowa for 12 years helping to establish a program that continues as one of the top Concert and Jazz Bands in the state of Iowa. Bill was a member of the Squires and Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps in the early/mid 1980’s and on brass staff with the Cavaliers and Emerald Knights drum and bugle corps in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s.

Bill is currently on the senior retail staff for the Music and Arts Glendale, Arizona location.

Gary Juarez
Percussion Director

Gary is currently instructing Henderson State University (Arkadelphia, AR), Hamilton High school (Chandler, AZ), Millennium High School (Goodyear, AZ), and Perry High School (Chandler, AZ). He is an educational consultant for the Arizona State University Marching Band. He is a past member and instructor of the Concord Blue Devils Drum Corporstion. He has studied with Paul Rennick, Tom Float, Sean Vega and Scott Johnson. He also worked and composed for Destiny’s Child, Miri Ben Ari, Keith Urban, The Phoenix Suns, New Jersey Nets drum lines and numerous companies/ entertainment groups. Gary is an active marching percussion clinician/arranger and proud endorser for Pearl USA, Zildjian Cymbals and Remo drum heads.
